Vacheron Constantin is a luxury Swiss manufacture of prestige watches and a brand of the Richemont group. It was founded by Jean-Marc Vacheron in 755 and is the oldest manufacturer of fine watches. It currently employs around 1,100 people worldwide, most of whom are based in the manufacturing plants in Geneva and Vallée de Joux in Switzerland. It is an active member of the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry. Notable past owners of Vacheron Constantin watches include Napoleon Bonaparte, Pope Pius XI, Edward VIII, and Harry Truman. These watches are known for its exquisite craftsmanship which goes through careful scrutiny of the Geneva office which then ultimately marks the watches with the well-deserved Hallmark of Geneva seal of approval.
